Hi, All. This is the May newsletter. As I didn't get any inquiries from any of you, the queries are all mine . If you can help on any of them, I'd really appreciate it. If you have any suggestions as to how the newsletter could be improved or a feature you would like to see, let me know As well as working on the goals I indicated last month, I have been doing a little research and posting new and/or corrected information to the people involved. I have also been cleaning up any formatting errors. So, my general admonition is that you check the "What's New" link to see if any of your ancestors have had work done on them. Also, as an FYI for the new members (approximately 15 of them since last month), this newsletter is published and sent to all registered users of the Hoisington / Horsington web site approximately once a month. If you have any queries or information that you would like to impart to all of us, send it to me; Harriette Hjensen@okcomputer ======================================================================================================== GENERAL CHANGES 1) I will be copying census information to each member of a family rather than just to the head of the family. As I make other changes, I will update family census data for the person's family. 2) We now have more than 16,100 individuals in the database, which is an increase of more than 100 since last month. 3) I will be working on the cemeteries for which I have information, going from East to West since we are all descended from the folks on the east coast. If you have any that I don't have, I'd love to post yours and give you credit. If you need one I haven't posted, write to me at hjensen@okcomputer.org and I'll check if I have it. If you would like to volunteer to photograph tombstones in your area, I would be happy to furnish you with a list of people buried near you. 4) There has been a mystery regarding the deathplace of John II, which was listed by Harry Hoisington as "New Greenland CT", which does not show up on any maps or as a historical site in google maps. However, I found both a Greenland NH (in Rockingham County) and a New Britain CT, which is where his sister Sibble lived. I found Sibble in a book on google books called "Memorial. Genealogy and History [of First Church, New Britain CT]" by A.H. Andrews, which contains a chronology of the division of Hartford District. Hartford District contains all of the "towns" later recorded as locations by Harry Hoisington (Farmington, Weathersfield, New Britain, Meridan, etc.) as Hoisington locations in Connecticut. So, it is quite possible that the Hoisingtons stayed within a few miles of their original location but the names of the "towns" changed. I may change the names of all these "towns" to "Hartford District (name of "town)" on the website to indicate this. CHANGES BY STATE VT Additional Rev.
